For me, we’ve just come out of the Term 3 school holidays, so unfortunately I haven’t been able to write much. But now the kids have gone back to school, I can’t wait to get stuck back in to my new work in progress (WIP): a YA supernatural-fantasy with gothic and ghostly spirit vibes.
Are you a writer? If so, what are you working on? I’d absolutely love to know. If not, what was your favourite read last month? I’m currently reading Wisteria, the third book in the Belladonna Trilogy by Adalyn Grace, and absolutely loving it.
Happy reading everyone! Until next time,
Love and Light

Hi Danielle! I am a writer and currently I am working on editing my short story. It’s about a foster kid who ran away and is living on the streets. I have a book I started, but I am having trouble getting beyond chapter three. Beyond that I have a lot of ideas that I don’t know what to do with quite yet. How about you? Do you have a story you wrote that you are stuck on? My favorite read last month was The Giver by Lois Lowry. Have you ever read it? What is one weird thing that happened to you this last week?
Have a wonderful week! Natalie

Hi Natalie
Your story sounds great, what genre and age group is it targeted to?
Adelle and Jack in my Mystica Trilogy are foster siblings 🙂
I’m a plotter, I have to have my story planned out before I write it. I find when I get stuck, I refer back to the plan so I know exactly where I’m meant to be heading. Sometimes I deviate from the plan, but I find it’s a good guide. Do you plan before you start writing? Perhaps you’re stuck because you’re not sure where the story is headed?
If you already have a plan, perhaps something else needs work to spark you forward? Character development maybe?
I haven’t read The Giver, but I’ll add it to my TBR.
Something weird… I’ll have to think on that one!
