In other bookish news, my current work in progress has taken off. Sometimes it takes a while to find the writing groove and really get stuck into something new. I always find having a plan helps, but sometimes you just need to let the story flow and the characters take over. This project is a young-adult, supernatural, fantasy-romance, steeped in a world of shadow and light, spirits and magic. I’m also planning for it to be a dual point-of-view which I have never written before, so I’m taking extra time to get it sounding right.
What are you reading right now? My current read is called The City of Stardust by Georgia Summers and I’m about two thirds of the way through. Its a dark fantasy about a girl trying to uncover the secrets of her family, including a curse, a hidden world of magic, and her missing mother. I’m thoroughly enjoying it so far and can’t wait for the conclusion. Have you read this one?
