New Year New Books!

Hello lovely readers!

I hope the beginning to the new year has been a positive one for you, and provided an opportunity to get some reading done. These holidays I finished The City of Stardust which was a fabulous, dark, escapist fantasy, and I’ve just started reading Fable by Adrienne Young. Have you read either of these yet?

If you’re in the need some new fantasy reads for the holiday season, be sure to check out the promotions I’m participating in this month, there’s a mix of Kindle Unlimited and free fantasy options. All can be found right here: https://linktr.ee/fourmoonspublishing

What has been your favourite read so far this holiday season?

While writing time over the holidays takes a backseat for me with my four children at home, I have found some time to work on plotting out two new stories which I hope to work on during the year. These new stories are something different for me in that they are in the cozy-romance genre. Definitely inspired by the season and Hallmark channel style movies, something I have always enjoyed watching. When I get around to writing and publishing these I will most likely publish under a different pen name to avoid confusion with my titles in the fantasy genre.

Do you set new year resolutions/intentions/goals?

I tend to be more of a goal setter, more so in my writing life than anything else. This year I have set a couple of author related goals which I hope to achieve. I plan to finish drafts for 2-3 new books: my YA supernatural romance, one cozy-romance, and a sequel to a new middle-grade series I’ve been working on. My other goals include reaching 50 reviews on Mystica Book 1, and making more in book sales than last year. It’s shaping up to be a busy year! But I do find its easier to be productive when I have specific goals in mind.

Do you have any reading or book related goals for the year? Perhaps we can help each other? If you have a reading goal in mind, I’m after beta readers for a middle grade fantasy-adventure story. This is a first in series book I hope to publish this year and as its middle grade, the word count is small so its an easy read. If you are interested in being a beta reader for this story, please leave a comment or reply to the email and I’ll send you more information. (A beta reader is someone who reads a finished draft of a book and provides feedback to the author before publication.)

If you have already read one of my books, and would like to help me out and leave me a review, I would be forever grateful. You can leave a review on Goodreads here: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/21810577.Danielle_Hughes

Sending you all love and light for the year ahead,

I'm a happily married mum to four kids. I love writing fantasy and supernatural stories for middle grade and young adult readers. I have self-published five books; The Lost Unicorn, The Princess and the Fawn, and my Mystica trilogy for pre-teen and YA readers. Four Moons Publishing is my author and publisher sight. Please sign up to follow and keep up to date on new releases. www.fourmoonspublishing.com I recently completed treatment for breast cancer which I published a blog for as a way staying in touch with family and friends about my journey, and also to possibly help share with anyone else going through something similar. I have found it quite cathartic to write about my experiences and am enjoying my first dabble into blogging :) If you would like to read more please search for Danielle's Breast Cancer Journey on WordPress or go to www.daniellebreastcancerjourney.wordpress.com
