Book Week Reading

Many schools celebrated Book Week this week, a fun opportunity for kids to dress up as character’s from their favourite books. For those of us in Victoria, book week had to be celebrated remotely, but at least the kids could still dress up! This year I was able to be involved a little differently, instead of stressing about costumes for my kids, I was invited to participate in recording a reading of my story, The Lost Unicorn, through my wonderful writing group PWC. Our readings were made available to a local school on the Mornington Peninsula for the kids to download and watch. This was something very new for me but something I was really proud to be involved in. It’s also a great opportunity to showcase some of the talented local author’s and their brilliant stories.

I'm a mum of 4, married to the wonderful Derek. I love writing fantasy and supernatural stories for middle grade and young adult readers. I have self-published one book, The Lost Unicorn and plan to release the first book in a middle-grade trilogy towards the end of 2021. Four Moons Publishing is my author and publisher sight. Please sign up to follow and keep up to date on new releases. www.fourmoonspublishing.com I recently completed treatment for breast cancer which I published a blog for as a way staying in touch with family and friends about my journey, and also to possibly help share with anyone else going through something similar. I have found it quite cathartic to write about my experiences and am enjoying my first dabble into blogging :) If you would like to read more please search for Danielle's Breast Cancer Journey on WordPress or go to www.daniellebreastcancerjourney.wordpress.com
