This past weekend I took the family on a mini holiday to Ballarat as I was scheduled to attend the Clunes Booktown Festival. While the kids enjoyed the pool, jumping pillow, mini golf and visiting Sovereign Hill, I spent the weekend selling books and meeting the most wonderful book-loving tribe out there.
This was my first time attending the Clunes Festival, and it did not disappoint. The entire town transforms into a book-lover’s paradise with thousands of books for sale ranging from second-hand stalls, traditionally published authors, and self-published indie authors (like myself). There is something for everyone, young and old.
There are author talks, workshops, poetry slams, food trucks, cafe’s, kids activities, bands playing, choirs singing and of course lots of coffee! I highly recommend you put this one on your calendar for next year, it’s already on mine and I can’t wait to get back.
Next month I’ll be running an Amazon price promotion on Mystica Book 1, so stay tuned for that announcement in the next week or so. In the meantime, you can check out the awesome promotions Mystica is currently in, including a great promo for books on Kindle Unlimited.
