FREE Books March + Bookfair Wrap

Hello lovely readers

Last weekend I had the most incredible time at Bookfair Australia in Melbourne. I love doing book events, they’re always a wonderful opportunity to make connections. Not just with readers, but with other authors and bookish vendors. I get to catch up with author friends I usually only converse with online, and my absolute favourite thing is to meet and encourage budding authors and writers who are just starting on their journey. And of course, book sales are an added bonus! This year I was asked to participate in my first panel, a Self-Publishing Quick Fire Q&A with IngramSpark, who I print all my books through. It was a great experience, and I hope to participate in more in the future.

This month, as we welcome in Spring or Autumn, depending on your place in the world, I am busy preparing for another fabulous book event: The Clunes Booktown Festival. This is a super unique and extremely fun event, where the entire tiny town of Clunes, Victoria, transforms into a lively and fun-filled outdoor festival of books! There are both indie and traditionally published authors, as well as workshops, panels, roving bands, kids’ activities, food trucks and new and old books galore. It really is the most incredible weekend, and if you are able to, I highly recommend making the trip.

Free Books: this month I have two book promotions for you, be sure to check out what’s on offer here: https://linktr.ee/fourmoonspublishing

What is everyone reading this month? I just finished The Serpent and the Wings of Night by Carissa Broadbent and I’ve just started Sibylline by Melissa De La Cruz. While I enjoyed The Serpent and the Wings of Night, it was a little too heavy on the action and war side of things for me. I found it to be a mix of Hunger Games meets Vampire Academy. I’m excited to delve further into Sibylline, it seems more dark academia mixed with the supernatural which is more my cup of tea. Have you read any of these?

Until next time, love and light,

Danielle x

I'm a happily married mum to four kids. I love writing fantasy and supernatural stories for middle grade and young adult readers. I have self-published five books; The Lost Unicorn, The Princess and the Fawn, and my Mystica trilogy for pre-teen and YA readers. Four Moons Publishing is my author and publisher sight. Please sign up to follow and keep up to date on new releases. www.fourmoonspublishing.com I recently completed treatment for breast cancer which I published a blog for as a way staying in touch with family and friends about my journey, and also to possibly help share with anyone else going through something similar. I have found it quite cathartic to write about my experiences and am enjoying my first dabble into blogging :) If you would like to read more please search for Danielle's Breast Cancer Journey on WordPress or go to www.daniellebreastcancerjourney.wordpress.com

  1. Hi Danielle,

Sorry for lurking for ages! But now I’m really curious about coming to Clunes as an author, especially since I have a friend nearby. Is there an application form somewhere?

    1. Hi Christina, Clunes is a great opportunity to sell books as an author, and also a fabulous event to attend as a reader. I’m unsure if you can still apply for a table space for this year. But you could always try contacting them via their website: https://clunesbooktown.org.au/contact-us/ If they are booked out for this year, make sure to sign up to their newsletter as they always send out a notification when the applications for the next years event are open. I think its usually around November. Either way its a brilliant event and if you end up attending be sure to come find me a say hi. I’m a tent with some author friends and we are called A Novel Bunch.
