August Update and Free Books!

Hello lovely readers

I come to you from a sunny winters day in Melbourne, a welcome reprieve after two days of constant rain and drizzle. Not that I mind as it’s the perfect excuse to stay inside and work on my new writing project.

A new project, you ask? Well yes, let me tell you about it.

I’m deep in the trenches plotting and planning a new story, a follow up from one of my stories in my latest release, Gossamer. If you have already read ‘Origin of the Seventh’, you will know that this story is inspired by the myth of the ‘seventh daughter.’ My new project will be a full-length gothic fantasy/fairytale which follows on from the family in my story, but a few generations on. The main character is a witch, who is the seventh daughter, of a seventh daughter. And her name is Seraphine.

I’ve spent the past several weeks world-building and developing the characters, elements and magical lore for this project. I’m now in the process of planning and plotting the outline of the story. I always do this before I begin actually writing the story as I find if I don’t have the whole story outlined first, I struggle to progress with the draft. And I’m really pleased with how it is all going. Stay tuned for more details coming soon!

In other news, I’m currently reading Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross. I loved her latest story, Wild Reverence, and I’m enjoying this one just as much. Have you read any of her work? What are you reading now?
